Hurd Realty started working with QuikTrip in 1989 when Richard developed a store for them in Ames, IA. Over the next several years, Hurd Realty developed, or purchased through sale-leaseback, many QT convenience stores. QuikTrip’s expansion into other markets helped diverse Hurd’s portfolio geographically. Richard and his team completed transactions in Phoenix, Kansas City, Tulsa, and St Louis.
